I’m currently using the video function on my 3 year old Sony Cybershot camera (just your standard 640×480 quality videos) and the videos that it records are better quality than the Sanyo VPC-TH1, the video is more clear and sharper. Nevermind, a pixel has gone on the LCD screen anyway, so will get a refund easy enough.
I decided to go ahead and buy one yesterday.£199 from Currys,also got a 8gb SDHC card for £19.99 too.I’m mainly going to be recording indoors, so that’s where I’ve been trying it out. IMHO it’s not a great camera. I have a very bright light in my bathroom and even in their the picture came out grainy and flickering. I’ve tried it in the HD mode, the 640×480 30fps & 60fps – all poor. I haven’t tried it outside in natural light, but that’s not what I got it for. Going to get a £400+ cam instead

Heya, i got a question to ask. I’m getting this for Christmas and i was wondering as im really buying this for Unboxing videos. When you upload videos is it auto HD or do you render it to 1280×720 and another question is would it be good enough quality for it and my last question if you havent got a memory card for it how long will it record for?
So, DRBUK… what are your thoughts on this camcorder? I cant see a review/another video about it from you. It’s the best spec camcorder I’ve found, that’s in my price range £200-300… but I’ve read ALOT of poor reviews about it on the net.

its a lot cheaper now because this was a few months ago now price does drop. but i might be looking at getting it at the cheap price!
