Is my camcorder permanently broken?

My Samsung SMX C-24 camcorder was knocked over while on a tripod and now when I try to zoom in or zoom out the image is fuzzy, however, the image is perfect when I bring the zoom about halfway (I’m guessing because this is the default zoom and is not really zoomed at all) When I record starting with a clear image and I zoom in/out the playback and actual video turns out fuzzy when I zoom. I’m wondering if my camera can be fixed or if I have to resend it for the warranty. Please help… My camera won’t focus while zoomed and it is annoying me.

Your camera supports both automatic and manual focusing. Try the manual focus.
Focusing manually during recording:
This camcorder automatically focuses a subject from close-up to infi nity. However, the correct
focus may not be obtained depending on the recording conditions. In this case, use the manual
focus mode.
1. Press the Control button ( / ) to select “Manual.” – Up Down Arrow
The manual focus adjustment indicator appears.
2. Press the Control button ( / ) to select the desired indicator to – Up Down Arrow
adjust the focus, and then press the OK button.
